A Tony Abbott lookalike that is. Impersonator Paul McCarthy will join comedian Rusty Berther and ABC radio host Simon Rodgers for a night of hilarious political satire as BallaRatCat Comedy presents Demockracy.
With stand-up, sketches and songs, BallaRatCat Comedy producer Beth Lamont said the comedy night would entail big personalities and crazy antics as Rodgers, Berther and McCarthy take a look at Australian politics over 2014.
“This will be a night of hilarious political comedy, looking back on what has been a truly ridiculous year of politics,” she said.
“And what better venue than the home of democracy.
“With Paul’s impersonations, Simon’s sharp comedy and Rusty’s slick songs, this will be a night of crazy antics and big personalities to rival Question Time itself.
“We’re hoping not to be ejected by Bronwyn Bishop.” Ms Lamont said anyone attending the performance was welcome to meet in the M.A.D.E foyer from 7pm for drinks prior to the 7.30pm show start.
Their 13th show, Demockracy will be BallaRatCat Comedy’s last performance of the year .
