The two balaclava-clad men entered the premises in Heinz Lane just before 3am on Thursday 13th November.
While one of the men ripped the Electronic Betting Terminal out of the wall the other jumped the bar and stole bottles of spirits worth around $1000.
The duo then fled the scene in a dark Holden sedan with mag wheels, possibly a VT or VX model.
The machine is worth around $6000 but is believed to be useless outside the club.
Detectives from the Ballarat Burglary Unit are investigating the incident and have released CCTV images of one of the men and the car they are looking for.
The first man police wish to speak to was wearing tan-coloured tradesman style pants, a black t-shirt with a white logo on the front and back and work boots.
He was carrying a Makita tools bag.
The second suffered from a distinctive limp affecting his left leg.
Both men are believed to be Caucasian.
Anyone with any information about the incident, or the identity of the men involved are urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential crime report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
