CFA units first attended the scene about 11.30am Sunday.
It is believed the fire began when the property owner was mowing grass on a ride-on mower.
Crews on the scene said the north-westerly wind made it difficult to control the fire.
There are still 16 CFA units on scene, with the possibility of air support as well.
The CFA advice is that smoke will be visible in the area, but that there is no threat to properties.
