Wearne is targeting the February 7-8 carnival at the Eastern Oval as she continues a return from injury.
She was backmarker for the event last year, when given 0.25m, but a hamstring forced her out.
Ballarat Athletic Club committee member Greg Whitecross said the club had been trying to get Wearne to the meet for a few years.
He said she was keen to make the trip - choosing Ballarat over the Canberra Track Classic on February 7.
Wearne is on the way back from another injury setback and has made bright start to the year.
The 27-year-old finished second in the 100m with a personal best 11.76 seconds in the NSW Club Track and Field Championships and in her latest outing was again second in the 100m at the Illawarra Track Classic in Wollongong on Saturday.
She led into these events by making the trip to the Bay Sheffield Gift in Adelaide.
Wearne reached the women's gift semi-finals with a second in her heat off 2m, but was run out when fifth in a semi-final.
Wearne's acceptance to an invitation to compete in Ballarat follows Tasmanian boom youngster Jake Hale's commitment to also run at the Eastern Oval.
The Ballarat Gift will offer $36,000 in prizemoney.
The women's gift will carry $5000 and Ballarat Gift will be worth $16,000.
