This is despite a global increase of solar energy investments.
Surely it is now time for the three arms of government to collaborate in a program to more actively promote clean energy installations.
Perhaps it is time for these governments to legislate, requiring all new housing, commercial and industrial building projects to install at least a minimum of roof solar panel systems to help reduce Australia's carbon footprint?
The cost of these systems would be a minor part of the total cost of such buildings. Where power is used during the day, direct electrical input to appliances should greatly reduce power costs that are increasing dramatically.
Also, it is timely for publicised surveys to determine progress with solar installations to these buildings in metro and regional cities and country towns.
Google Earth aerial images should be an efficient means of achieving this.
