Two representative sides, picked by captains Darren Fletcher and Luke Jackson, will play at Smythesdale Cricket Club on February 7.
Grenville president Adam Couch said officials had spent months preparing the commemorative function.
“It’s a pretty big achievement (50 years),” Couch said.
“Some other associations haven’t been running that long and we’re pretty proud of our history. We’ve been very competitive throughout Ballarat and surrounding areas, especially in the 1990s.”
The Twenty20 match will take place at 2.30pm, with Milo Cricket clinics to run throughout the day.
Former Australian Test and Grenville player Peter Sleep will assist with the clinics.
Couch said 200 attendees had been confirmed, but expected the number to be closer to 300 by the due date.
A function for past and present players will be held in the Smythesdale clubrooms at 6.30pm.
“We look forward to celebrating our history on the night with some players who have gone missing,” Couch said.
The two representative outfits will be defined by the major sponsors worn on the back – Begley Hobba & Manton Pty. Ltd and Timken.
