Attendees at a Ballarat Technology Park breakfast may be closer to finding out the answer in February.
WestWind Energy managing director Tobias Geiger and Australian Wind Alliance national co-ordinator Andrew Bray will be guest speakers at the event.
The breakfast conference will be held at the Ballarat Technology Park in Mount Helen on Tuesday, February 17.
It is scheduled to start at 7.45am.
The last major wind farm commissioned in Victoria was the Mount Mercer wind farm, south of Ballarat.
Topics to be discussed at the breakfast will include the change of the Victorian government and whether that will influence the development of new wind farms throughout the state.
