The ACU Sovereigns take on the Saints on Wednesday night following a harsh 67-29 drubbing at the hands of City West Falcons in their first home game of the season.
McMahon said top-up players could be called upon as the club chased its first triumph of the Victorian Netball League championship campaign. “Basically, the team is not set in stone and in the coming weeks there will definitely be an ongoing review of our squad and the playing list, making sure we have got the right players in the squad that can handle the pressure of VNL netball,” McMahon said.
“We are not about making up numbers and the goal isn’t just to win one game here or there.”
McMahon said players focused on game-based scenarios at training on Monday night in a bid to address areas of concern from the weekend.
Experienced goaler Cynna Kydd was kept to light duties after a busy start to the season, which has seen her play every quarter of every game.
The Saints, who sit third on the ladder, come into this encounter after a 10-goal victory over Monash University Storm.
