A migraine was just the start of the problem.
A migraine was just the start of the problem.

QI woke up on December 31 with a migraine. My partner of three years didn't cancel our party, and entertained while I was upstairs in bed (door and blinds closed to avoid noise and light), aware of the celebrations, but unable to join in. They started early, watched the fireworks, then chatted into the night. He didn't even come to wish me happy New Year. I've tried to put things in perspective, but he seems to care more about his friends than about me. I wouldn't leave him, alone and unwell, especially on New Year's Eve.  When I contemplate our future (we're both 60) I'm so disillusioned I feel like leaving.
