A MAN has been charged following a carjacking in Wendouree on Friday night.

Police say that a man was assaulted in his vehicle at 7.30pm on Marilyn Street, Wendouree, before his car was stolen and driven to Warrenheip where it's alleged the three occupants hit a road sign and abandoned the car.
Paramedics were called to Marilyn Street and transported the victim, aged in his 60s, to Ballarat Base Hospital with serious head and facial injuries in a serious but stable condition.
The man was allegedly found in a Marilyn Street driveway.
Three people were arrested a short time after the car was found abandoned in the Victoria Street extension, near the intersection of Brewery Tap Road, Warrenheip.
Maryborough man Jason MacDonald faced a bail justice and was charged with assault, theft of motor vehicle and traffic offences and has been remanded to appear at Ballarat Magistrates' Court on Monday.
A man and a woman have been released pending further inquiries.
