My research has been into the Ballarat Goldfields before Eureka. Material on which seems almost non-existent other than Charles Dickens' report dated January 1852 and references by Weston Bate, also material left by my grandfather Thomas Guthrie, who had a tent store AT Sailors Gully and later on Prince Regent Gully. Locations which seem to have disappeared? It would be great to learn more.
