The wealthy miners selling natural resources that technically should belong to all of us, gain a tax break, whilst the burden may transfer to John Citizen, who I might add is getting rather hot under the collar lately.
Whilst air conditioning is a luxury, so too was deemed windows in England centuries ago, thus cleverly they were taxed, leaving windowless houses, aiding illiteracy and sight problems as politicians left them in the dark. Luckily this is inapplicable nowadays.
Now aged pensioners may die from heat and thus aid the welfare budget. Many baby boomers post 1946 have fallen through the cracks in the super system and the now massive pension welfare costs incurred should have been foreseen by pollies nearly 70 years ago and money budgeted for and set aside in advance before going into debt.
We now eagerly await Joe Hockey's promised budget surpluses, with no blame nor excuses, and urge him to do some banking quickly. N.B. Baby Boomers were born en masse up until 1965 so it is going to get worse. Menzies said "populate or perish".
