Riders in Melbourne's annual nude bike ride will make a detour past the site where Italian cyclist Alberto Paulon was killed in a "dooring" incident last week.

Mr Paulon, 25, was killed last Friday when a motorist opened a car door and knocked him into the path of an oncoming truck as he rode along Sydney Road in Brunswick.
Organisers of the Melbourne World Naked Bike Ride changed the planned route this week so riders will pass the memorial for Mr Paulon on Sunday.
"It is important to note that the event last week that ended with the death of a cyclist is exactly one of the key reasons Melbourne World Naked Bike Ride rides annually," organiser Dallas Goldburg said.
"We have changed the route to pay tribute to Alberto. I think it would be neglectful not to do it this year."
Mr Goldberg said the ride aimed to "peacefully expose the vulnerability of cyclists", with some riders choosing to bear the slogan "Now can you see me?" on their backs, or bikes.
Hundreds of nude cyclists are expected to join the ride, which will start at the Fox Hotel in Collingwood and finish at Royal Park in Parkville.
Mr Goldburg said cyclists involved in the ride would pause for a minute's silence for Mr Paulon on Sydney Road.
He dismissed suggestions that having nude cyclists ride past the memorial site was in poor taste.
"It will be respectful," he said. "I hope that we can have everyone with their helmets off and heads bowed for a minute's silence."
On Friday, more than 1000 cyclists will take part in a special memorial ride for Mr Paulon and also call for Sydney Road to be made safer for riders.
The event, dubbed #AlbisRide, will start at 5.30pm at the southern end of Sydney Road in the parklands on Royal Parade, and will end at the Moreland train station car park, near Gandolfo Gardens.
Cyclists are asked to wear bright green, the colour of Mr Paulon's bike.
"It has been said that bikes should not use Sydney Road as it is too dangerous [for cyclists], but Sydney Road is a hub of activity and is a destination for many riders," organisers said.
"What makes this road so dangerous is that it is a squeeze point, where cars, trams, buses, trucks and bikes try to go along the road together. We need the state government to look at this road and take serious consideration to work on fixing the issues.
"In the meantime, we are going to ride to show solidarity and to remember the riders we have lost to car doorings."
An emergency meeting about Sydney Road called by Brunswick MP Jane Garrett was held on Wednesday. VicRoads, Victoria Police, Bicycle Network, Yarra Trams, City of Moreland, traders and residents attended.
