The ACU Sovereigns’ 19/unders powered into the top four on Wednesday night following a 43-36 victory over Boroondara Express.
A big final term secured the vic-
tory for the Sovereigns, which trailed at half time and led by two goals at the last change.
The result is the Sovereigns’ fourth win of the season and establishes a three-game unbeaten run following a draw with Southern Saints and a victory against Melbourne University Lightning last week.
Boroondara Express were far too strong in a 63-31 triumph in the championship division encounter and won 39-30 in the division one match.
Sovereigns’ teams now prepare for the second of their home clashes this season, with the Wendouree Sports and Events Centre to host Sunday’s fixtures with Geelong Cougars.
