A 75-YEAR-old man has been stabbed in Ballarat this afternoon.
Police say the man was stabbed at a separate location, then drove himself to the front of a Latrobe Street business, where he came to a stop.
Emergency services were called just after 4pm.
Police taped off part of the car park area out the front of PetStock on Latrobe Street, where the man's red Ford Falcon wagon was parked.
Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman Gabrielle Degenhardt said paramedics arrived to find the man was bleeding from the ear.
He suffered apparent stab wounds to his head.
The man is conscious, breathing and is in a stable condition.
Police are currently determining the scene of the original crime.
