The Skipton Street pub is holding another of its “Brewers, Beers and Burgers” events, this time with Kooinda Brewery, from Melbourne.
Publican Dallas Robb said beers often came with a back story. “It’s more about just getting to know the people that actually brew the beer, finding out a little big of history about the company,” he said.
“Sometimes we have home brewers come in who are quite keen to join the industry. It’s nice to hear from those sorts of people how they got started.”
Mr Robb said Kooinda brewer Mick Opie would talk about how a beer was workshopped.
“I know from Kooinda, they tend to change their styles – tweak it – and try and make it better and better each time it comes out,” he said.
Tickets are still available for the event at $50, which includes six beers and a burger and chips.
