Driving towards Gillies Street North and Grevillea Street, the driver clipped a parked Toyota Corolla before hitting the house's fence head on. 

She was taken to the Ballarat Base Hospital as a precautionary measure. 

Police said they would conduct drug and alcohol tests once she had been attended to at the hospital. 

The owner of the house, who did not want to be named, said he had been left stunned by the incident. 

"My wife heard the bang, and we went and had a look," he said. 

"And there she was." 

The resident said the woman was in shock but had not been not seriously hurt. 

"I built that fence myself," he said.
