Aaron Sawers (Dunnstown) and Daniel Wehrung (Newlyn) are the new joint leaders of The Courier Central Highlands Football League player of the year award. Each is on seven votes after three rounds in the club-based award – one clear of a chasing pack.
Creswick’s Caleb Hepworth led the award with six votes after two rounds, but did not figure in the top three against Learmonth.
Sawers was named the Towners’ best, while Wehrung picked up two votes for the Cats.
