More than 30 nominations were received across the six award categories.
Winners will be announced next Tuesday at the Ballaarat Mechanics Institute.
Categories include heritage innovation, special heritage skills, adaptive reuse of a heritage place, conservation of a heritage place or historic collection (both private and community) and new work/development within a heritage area.
Nominations around Ballarat include the Adam Lindsay Gordon Cottage, Suttons House of Music, the Old Butchers Shop in Seymour Street, Taylor and Stirling, the Provincial Hotel, the Ballarat Avenue of Honour conservation and the Ballarat Fire Station engine bay development.
Clare Gervasoni has been nominated for her history and heritage skills, along with P & M Attwood Pty Ltd, for its work in heritage trades.
Private homes nominated include 23 Victoria Avenue, 14 Victoria Avenue, 143 Wendouree Parade, 310 Eureka Street and Netherby in Buninyong.
Groups selected for their work include the Friends of the Ballarat Botanical Gardens: Gardens History Group, the Ballarat Library, Child & Family Services Ballarat, Federation University’s Arts Academy and Wadawurrung elder Uncle Bryon Powell.
City of Ballarat Municipal Brass Band, Friends of the Anson Air Museum and Miners Rest Solders Memorial Relocation and Restoration have also been selected.
The awards are hosted by the National Trust of Victoria (Ballarat branch) and supported by the City of Ballarat.
