What's On? Drinks specials all around

MY BEST friend had a little baby boy this morning, so of course I'm feeling all mushy and emotional at the moment.

I dream five or six dreams a night and I've been having lots of dreams about her pregnant, but so far haven't seen the baby.

All along I've been guessing girl and finally I had a dream last night of her holding a beautiful baby boy.

So, of course, I called her this morning to tell her.

Hours later, which I still cannot believe, I received the message saying "It's a boy!"

It's funny how things work like that. Maybe I'm a psychic? However. I highly doubt it, given there was a 50/50 chance of getting it right.

So I think you can all guess where I'll be tonight. Baby cuddles!

As for you, it's uni night in Ballarat, which means loads of places are putting on some great drink specials.

Tonight, take your pick from the Eastern Station in Humffray Street North, where DJ Sever will be on the decks from 6pm, or the newly renovated Front Bar in Mair Street or The Bluestone in Mair Street where they are always serving up yummy cocktails.

Otherwise if you're in the mood for a concert, Seraphim Trio's second 2012 concert is on tonight in Ballarat.

In this enchanting Czech-inspired program, the astonishing Australian oboist Diana Doherty joins the group of Martinu's graceful oboe quartet, concluding with Hummel's brilliant arrangement of Mozart's Prague Symphony.

Tickets cost $40 and it starts at 7pm at the Art Gallery of Ballarat in Lydiard Street North. For tickets call 5320 5858.
