The Lions have soared to the top of the ladder courtesy of nine consecutive goals in the second half against a hapless Darley.
After an entertaining first half in which the lead changed hands eight times, Redan kicked six goals to none in the third term and the first three of the last quarter to set up the 33-point win.
Youngster Kyle Mackay was a clear best on ground, his electrifying speed lighting up City Oval time and time again.
Grant Bell was also dominant with three goals, while Mitch Phelps and Nick Willox also contributed three.
For Darley, Shane Page was the only player who could hold his head high.
With key forward Jake Edwards ruled out with an ankle injury, Page kicked five goals from the midfield and found the ball over the ground.
The Devils managed to hang in early as Redan constantly peppered the goals, but as soon as the maroon and gold found range in the third term, it was lights out for the Devils.
EAST POINT 15.11 (101) d SUNBURY 14.14 (98)
East Point has snatched a late victory from Sunbury at Eastern Oval.
The Roos hit the front for only the second time in the match with 10 minutes left in the final term and held on for a memorable win.
The match was dominated by huge swings of momentum, with Sunbury coming out firing in each of the first three terms only for the Kangaroos to reel them back.
Josh Burgess played a blinder for Sunbury, booting five goals, while Matthew Medcraft was mercurial through the middle.
For East, Brad Whittaker and Chris Banwell both kicked three goals while Jonathan Lanyon racked up possessions at will.
NORTH BALLARAT CITY 13.15 (93) d BALLARAT 7.16 (58)
Shaun Lyle and Derick Micallef formed a lethal duo down forward to kick 10 out of North Ballarat City's 13 goals as the reigning premier notched up their first win of the year.
In a scrappy affair in which both sides were a shell of the lineups that contest the 2014 grand final, it was North City that proved too good in the final term to kick away to a 35-point win.
Inaccuracy plagued Ballarat early and cost it the lead when it had the run of the play.
By half time the Swans had kicked just 1.7 and although they managed to kick more accurately in the second half, could not stop the flow of goals at the other end.
James Quayle kicked three goals for Ballarat, which is still searching for its first win since finishing runner-up in last year's grand final.
The tasl does not get any easier either, coming up against the rampaging Redan next week.
North City will be favourites to make it two in a row against Bacchus Marsh next Sunday.
LAKE WENDOUREE 25.22 (172) d SEBASTOPOL 8.2 (50)
Lake Wendouree has saluted in the finest possible fashion on the day it opened its new surface, smashing lowly Sebastopol by 122 points.
The Lakers were in no mood to muck around, slaming on 6.8 in the opening term to open up a 38-point lead at the first break.
The one-way traffic continued from that point onwards, as the Lakers continued to pile on goals against the extremely young Sebastopol side.
Angus Kirby kicked five majors, recruits Tyler Blake and Nathan Pring snagged four, while Steve Clifton dobbed three goals.
Andrew Pitson was named best on ground, while Nathan Monk continued to prove his worth as one of the most underrated recruits of the year.
For Sebastopol, Rowan Marshall kicked two goals, but winners across the ground were few and far between.
Youngster Leeroy Sheridan battled hard in the midfield in his role on Clifton.
BACCHUS MARSH 18.14 (122) d MELTON SOUTH 10.7 (67)
It seems it is either chocolates or boiled lollies for Bacchus Marsh this season.
This week, at least, it was a return to chocolates.
The Cobras smashed Melton South to the tune of 55 points, a monumental comeback from their 80-point loss last week.
A seven goal to one final term was the telling factor, with just 19 points separating the sides at three quarter time.
Jackson Bolton kicked four goals and was a clear best on ground with four goals to his name, while Peter Shepherd also chipped in with four.
For Melton South, Billy Sullivan was named best on ground.
