Stephen Parry, of St Arnaud, appeared in Ballarat Magistrates Court on Monday and again said the music got the better of him.
“But it was a good song,” he told magistrate Cynthia Toose after she told him to pay attention to speed limits in the future.
“Don’t get carried away with the music,” Ms Toose said.
Representing himself in court, Parry, who said he was a “broke cocky/musician”, also offered some advice to the police officer who caught him speeding on the Sunraysia Highway on January 24.
Referring to the Sergeant, Parry said: “He had his lights on high for a bit too long, too.”
Parry pleaded guilty to the charge of speeding, with the court hearing he was travelling at 110km/h in a 100km/h zone. He was fined $295.
