Harness Racing Victoria on Thursday released a response to recommendations by Racing Integrity Commissioner Sal Perna following an investigation into the late scratchings of six of the 10 acceptors for the cup on December 13.
Trainer Emma Stewart scratched four horses and David Aiken withdrew two after stewards ordered they would not be able to race in United States-manufactured sulkies that were found on the night to be wider than regulations permitted.
BDTC chief executive officer Paul Rowse said the club would meet to discuss the investigation recommendations once it had all the details.
He said the club was representative of all the clubs in the state in this situation and needed to ensure the controversy did not occur again.
Perna made eight recommendations and 20 findings in his report.
