Headspace Ballarat has placed its brand on the back of a bus on out-of-town routes to help promote its services beyond the city. The signage is sponsored by Lake Imaging with a view to improving health outcomes for younger people who may be out of the regular flow.
Headspace Ballarat mental health team leader Ben Gillett said putting the brand on a mobile platform made sense.
“We don’t have geographical boundaries. Young people can come from anywhere to access services,” he said. “The Ballarat office has provided support to young people as far away as Stawell. It is really important young people living outside Ballarat are aware they have a place where they can be heard and can easily access services for their general and mental health.”
Headspace Ballarat is a federal government-funded not-for-profit organisation offering a range of free services for people aged 12-25 in Ballarat and western Victoria. It can be contacted on 5304 4777.
