But Australia seems to love the funny man and now he is only a few stop away from Ballarat.
On June 19 he will perform at the Ballarat and District Trotting Club and he promises plenty of new material just for his Ballarat fans.
The Courier caught up with Wilson prior to his performance on Friday, but true to form, much of what he said was unprintable.
In what was printable he said he was looking forward to sharing his music creations and said those attending should expect anything.
"I've got 19 albums now, my biggest problem is deciding what songs to leave out," he said.
"But I never go on stage with a set list, the songs I choose depends on the crowd.
"I wrote a song last night from Ghost Rider in the Sky, it's Goat Riders in Dubai. I want to bring this out, it's so wrong it's funny."
For Wilson his journey of stardom began in the mines of Kalgoorlie where he put together a cassette tape called Your Average Australian Yobbo. Needless did he know at the time this would be the beginning of his popularity in the entertainment industry.
Now he is a household name who has decomposed some of the biggest hits over the last three decades into his own hilarious versions.
Performing alongside Jenny Talia, Wilson will bring with him his crowd favourites D.I.L.L.I.G.A.F and Living Next Door to Alan.
