Their performance at Babushka Bar will be the duos second visit to Ballarat, this time bringing with them twice as many songs.
"We dropped in when we first started and it was quite a successful night, we think Babuska Bar will be a great intimate space," one half of the duo, John Yacka said.
"We will be playing predominantly songs from the first two albums, but we also plan to toss in songs from our favourite artists to mix it up."
With Yacka on percussion and Lily Higgins on guitar the duo has moved into the charts for most played Australia blues and roots. But their decision to perform as a duo was never planned.
"It was more of an accident," Yacka said.
"We got asked to perform in a wedding in Darwin, we weren't meant to feature but we ended up playing through the wedding and noticed people enjoyed it.
"When we came back we wondered if it could work as a duo.
"We did play in a band ... and it (duo) was never structured to be anything.
"But we said 'you know what let's just do it.
"Lily is a great vocalist with an uncanny style on the guitar, it lends itself to be able to play drums behind."
The reason for their current tour is predominately to promote their second album Welcome Change which Yacka said was inspired by their time on the road.
"When we were away on one of our trips in regional Victoria we wrote the song Welcome Change, from there we went on to write a whole bunch of songs," he said.
"Themes of the album are about going out as a duo and finding it worked.
"A lot of our ideas come from our travels, from conversations we have or from going through a town and seeing something."
