BUNINYONG supporters stormed the Learmonth oval in jubilation following the Bombers' miraculous come-from-behind win over Hepburn in Saturday's Central Highlands Football League preliminary final.
Trailing by 32 points at half time and 20 points at the final change, Buninyong booted the only four goals of the last term to secure an unlikely eight-point win.
It was coach Joe Gilbert that sealed the result with a goal in the dying minutes after Buninyong had drawn level and then edged ahead with a couple of handy behinds.
The victory is the Bombers' first over the Burras since 2003 and ends their run of two-straight preliminary final exits.Buninyong now prepares to take on Daylesford in next Saturday's grand final at Eureka Stadium.
The Bulldogs were 45-point winners over Bungaree in the second preliminary final at Dunnstown today.
