Long-time member Trevor Lea has been appointed president after 13 years with the community organisation.
Looking forward to his new position, Mr Lea said he plans to continue helping raise funds for organisations around the world.
“Hopefully I will make a good president because of my leadership skills and my ability to listen to others,” he said.
In 2014 the organisation raised funds for organisations such as Polio Eradication Wordwild, Lighthouse Foundation, Salvation Army, Fiona Elsey Cancer Centre, WRISC Family Violence Support, Special Olympics Ballarat, 3BA Christmas Appeal, Livv's Place, Life Education Ballarat, Ballarat Down Syndrome Group and CAFS.
My earliest memory is… waking up in the morning and seeing snow outside the bedroom window – enough snow to build a snowman.
When I was a child I wanted to be… grown up.
My parents always said… “Get a steady job at a bank and you will have a safe, secure job for life”. It was, once upon a time.
My greatest moment in my life was… when I qualified as a chartered accountant. It was only years later that I realised I didn’t like the work.
In four words I am… hard working, busy, chatty and determined.
I wish I’d never worn… that tie because it hurt my Adam’s apple.
Cat or dog? Give me a faithful dog any day.
I often wonder… what it would have been like to be born somewhere like India.
When I want to spoil myself… I sample a nice glass of red wine.
The first thing I reach for on a Sunday is… my wife Pam.
The hardest thing I’ve done in my life is… run a marathon in 30 degree heat.
My ideal day would be spent… swimming in a pool or the ocean, studying the market during the day and having a banquet to celebrate an event in the evening.
If I could change one thing in the world it would be… religious intolerance.
After life there is… hopefully another life to be lived.
I love… watching the sunset.
In life I have learnt… to slow down while driving the car. There is nothing to be gained by speeding except a speeding ticket.
My pet dislike is… smokers. There is nothing worse than a reformed one.
I can’t live without… my iPhone.
Before I die I would like to… climb Everest Base Camp.
If I could invite anyone to dinner, they would be… Warren Buffett, so that we could chat about the markets.
If only I could... fly.
