Sharing in $225,000, the community groups, organisations and local councils received the grants as part of the state government’s Participation for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Seniors Grants Program.
The funds will go towards helping vulnerable seniors from CALD backgrounds connect to new or existing networks and activities.
Activities could include excursions, walking groups, technology and English classes, fitness programs, and cultural celebrations.
Minister for Housing, Disability and Ageing Martin Foley said the grants aimed to break down barriers faced by multicultural seniors.
