Now in its third year, the festival reflects the philosophy of the slow food movement but with a focus on the sensation of hearing.
Held from August 22 until August 30, this year’s festival will begin with a special overnight event called Space is the Place.
The event will be held in partnership with the Ballarat Observatory and will feature music throughout the night.
FoSM artistic director Adam Simmons said organisers were excited by this year’s program.
“The event will feature nine days of musical events and develops upon the successes from the past two years,” he said.
The Festival of Slow Music will have its official launch on Friday at the Ballarat Observatory from 10.30am. Light refreshments will be served. To RSVP, call Adam Simmons on 0407 803 801. For more information, visit festivalofslowmusic.com
