Mervyn was last seen at a Windermere Road residence in Haddon about 8am on Saturday 27 June and has not been seen since.
Mr Weightman left the address to go gold prospecting in bushland in the Ballarat area, but it’s unknown exactly where.
He was last known to be in his red 1999 Ford Fairmont sedan.
Mervyn’s family and police have concerns for him as it is out of character for him not to contact them.
He is described as caucasion in appearance, about 175cm tall, with a medium build and collar-length grey hair.
Police have released an image of Mervyn in the hope that someone may have information on his current whereabouts.
