BALLARAT is through to the Victorian Junior Basketball League under-18 girls semi-finals.
Rush progressed by defeating Knox 65-62 in overtime on Friday.
Ballarat did lead in regular time.
Trailing by 15 points with five minutes to play, Rush clawed back into the game. A flurry of three-pointers was capped off by a Kasey Burton three-pointer to tie the scores and send the game into overtime.
Knox made a couple of quick baskets to lead by three with two minutes to go, but Ballarat fought it out and snatched a three-point win.
“Although we struggled a lot during the game with Knox going to work on us, we really toughed it out even when it looked like we couldn’t win,” Ballarat assistant coach Glenn White said.
Lydia Brooks and Kasey Burton were standouts for Ballarat.
Rush faces Melbourne Tigers on Friday.
Ballarat has won six of its past eight games, while Melbourne is unbeaten.
