I LIVE in an estate in Miners Rest. Twice over the past few months while walking my two cattle dogs on their leads, we have been attacked by other dogs in the estate that were not on leads or tied up.
Both times my partner was walking with me and we managed to protect our cattle dogs from being seriously hurt by the dogs that ran out at us - but these situations are still scary.
I love dogs, but what I hate are irresponsible owners who do not have their dogs on leads or have them restrained when they are outside their yards.
I should have the freedom to walk my dogs around my neighbourhood, without having to look behind me worrying whether there is a dog running at us.
I am doing the right thing - why can't you? Please don't be so irresponsible and think about the consequences of not having your dogs on leads.
