South Australian winemaker Jane Ferrari will return to town to speak at Jackson’s and Co from 7pm.
Jackson’s and Co head chef Walter Wilson has crafted a four-course menu to match with wines in the Yalumba series.
Guests will be treated to canapes on arrival, matched with a Jansz NV Premium Cuvée or NV Rose.
A tasting plate of salted salmon, beef carpaccio and rare lamb cutlet will be served as entree, matched with 2013 Roussanne or 2013 The Virgilius Viognier.
A beef fillet will be served as the main and matched with 2012 The Signature Cabernet Shiraz or 2012 The Menzies Cabernet Sauvignon.
Macadamia tarts and local cheeses are for dessert.
Jackson’s and Co general manager Allan Benfield hoped the event gave diners something to look forward to during the cold season.
“We hope it breaks up the winter months,” he said.
Tickets are $120 per person or $110 for members.
Bookings close Thursday noon.
