A man who spent the night on the roof of Bunnings Warehouse in Nunawading has been brought down, Victoria Police say.

Victoria Police spokeswoman Acting Sergeant Anthoula Moutis said the man was taken to the Boxhill Police Station for assessing.
Victoria Police spokeswoman Sergeant Anita Brens said the man had been on the roof since "just after midnight". Police had negotiated with the man, who was not believed to be armed.

Victoria Ambulance spokesman John Mullen said he was brought down at 9.28am and would be assessed at the local police station.
Mr Mullen said it was feared the man might have hypothermia after spending the night in the open in inclement weather.
"We got the original call at 4am," he said. "We had two units at the scene. The rain was pretty heavy throughout the morning and he might be suffering from a bit of hypothermia. We will assess and treat him at the local police station."
Metropolitan Fire Brigade spokeswoman Heather Stockman said the brigade had sent a commander and a ladder platform to the scene to assist police.
