The Demons were guided by Ash McDonald, who booted 12 goals in the 34.17 (221) to 1.1 (7) belting on the Bulldogs’ home turf.
Veteran Chris O’Keefe was also on song in attack, kicking five goals in his second game back from injury.
Demons coach Heath Pyke said his team got away from the match injury-free and praised the efforts of Chase Morgan (one goal) and Billington brothers Matt and Leigh (one goal).
Brad Dunbar kicked Smythesdale’s only major of the game in the final term and was one of the team’s best alongside Rattley brothers Kade and Rylan.
The Bulldogs take on Ballan next Saturday.
