This will take his tenure with the Blues to four seasons.
Williams has Ballan positioned to end an extended finals drought this year.
He has taken the Blues to nine wins from the opening 12 games and seventh place on the ladder.
Ballan assistant coach David O’Hanlon said it was great to have the coaching appointment locked in this early.
He said the new contract would make Williams the longest-serving senior coach at Ballan for many years, and also provide stability, – enabling a smooth transition into the planning phase for 2016.
The former Hawthorn and Essendon forward initially took over from Darron Batties, who stood down late in the 2013 season.
The 32-year-old was a two-time leading goal-kicker at Hawthorn - where he played 111 games - and booted 46 majors in the Hawks’ 2008 premiership season.
He also played four matches for Essendon before calling an end to his AFL career.
In another plus for Ballan looking to the 2016 season, A grade netball coach Noni McClure has also been re-appointed for another two years.
The vastly experienced McClure is in her first season with the Blues.
McClure arrived at Ballan as the reigning Geelong and District Football League A grade best and fairest, having played with Werribee Centrals.
She has also played with Geelong in the Victorian Netball League.
CLUNES Football Netball Club members will make a call on their future direction on Sunday.
Members are voting as to whether Clunes should remain in the CHFL or pursue a move to the Maryborough Castlemaine District Football League.
Voting closes on Saturday, with the verdict expected to be made public on Sunday.
The Magpies formed a sub-committee to investigate the pros and cons of either staying or moving.
The group’s findings were presented to members at a special meeting before voting opened.
