The 17-year-old was airlifted to Melbourne after an on-field collision at the Avoca Public Park.
Ambulance Victoria spokesman John Mullen said the Bulldogs player landed awkwardly during a contest.
“All spinal precautions were taken, he was placed on the spinal board with a collar and then airlifted to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a serious but stable condition,” he said.
An Avoca Football Netball Club statement on Sunday afternoon said Mr Cudmore had received the all-clear from medical staff.
“The Cudmore family wish to pass on their sincere thanks to everyone that assisted yesterday, particularly our medical team led by Dr Dmitry Samokhin and the support from our Junior Development Co-ordinator Tom Elliott and the Club Committee,” the statement read.
