The Community Engagement and Hazard Awareness forum will attract volunteers from about 205 different CFA brigades and 40 SES units across Victoria.
The two-day event will also be attended by 400 CFA members, including 350 volunteers and 100 SES volunteers.
Emergency Management Commissioner Craig Lapsley will speak about the event’s theme Community Connections, at the Novotel Forest Resort.
The forum is not open to members of the public.
This is the fifth annual state forum for the CFA but the first joint event with the SES. Previous events have been held in Bendigo and Melbourne.
The forum will hear from volunteers who are responsible for educating their communities about disaster preparation.
The event grows each year, with 185 brigade delegates attending in 2014.
