The Nice Girls will show at the college’s theatre between Thursday and Saturday this week, with a matinee also held on Saturday.
Kyle Crosbie, Bylthe Plier and Aiden McHarg will lead the 80-student cast in the musical.
The Nice Girls, penned by Peter Waugh almost ten years ago, follows famous recording company Diamond Discs’ talent search for a new girl group.
Musical director Chris Brennan said the musical was a light-hearted, upbeat, family show.
“The Diamond Discs are a famous recording company, but their ageing stars are costing them money,” he said.
“They come up with the idea of a star search and put together a girl band called The Nice Girls… it’s a take on the Spice Girls.”
Director Amanda Remfrey said the students had been rehearsing for about four months.
“The students are really enjoying it,” she said.
“People will get to see some of the school’s amazing talent... they are the up and coming stars of the future.”
Mr Brennan wrote the songs for the musical and will play alongside the student band for each performance.
The Nice Girls was first performed by Ballarat’s Mayte Youth Theatre in 2006.
Mr Brennan applauded the work of costume and set designer Sue Broadway.
Tickets are still available for purchase via trybooking.com or at the college.
