“It has been a pleasant experience because the staff make it that way,” Mr Raymond said. “You can talk to people in here who are friendly and can relate. Volunteers are remarkable.”
Mr Raymond, from Smythesdale, said access to such a high-class facility in the region saved patients travel stress and fatigue seeking treatment in Geelong or Melbourne – and BRICC did not feel like a hospital.
BRICC this week marked its second anniversary for oncology and radiotherapy services. The centre developed treatment options, clinical trial access, support and wellness programs.
