Since its inception in 2012, Run Ballarat has raised more than $650,000 for the redevelopment of the Ballarat Health Services Children’s Ward.
Steven Coltman, director of Adroit Insurance which partners with the Cotton On Foundation to run the event, said the community and corporate support continues to build each year.
“It has grown every year and in 2015 we are aiming for around about 5500 to 6000 participants,” he said.
“The City Oval is a real festive environment on the day, there are barbecues, music, food stalls and jumping castles.”
Registrations for the October 11 event are now open, which includes a 12 and six kilometre run and six kilometre walk.
