Busija and his boys are in the midst of a five-match unbeaten run, which has the team sixth on the table and part of a group of four sides just four points behind Football Federation Victoria men’s state league four west leaders Maribyrnong Greens.
And this fixture with the struggling Laverton Park outfit – which sits last after just one win – is a golden opportunity to keep the pressure on the top sides.
Busija said it was important his team remains ruthless. “We’ve got to win and really got to win this convincingly,” Busija said.
Busija said Kyran Taylor would miss the match with a hamstring injury, as would Ryan Rykers with a rib issue. Isaac Ellis will make his first start for the senior side, while Will Georgiou is set to begin for the first time since recovering from his own hamstring troubles.
