Emergency services experienced a quiet Friday night, with police, fire and ambulance not responding to any jobs of significance.
Can you believe it has been one year since the city was blanketed in snow?
Relive the magic in our gallery below:
WEATHER
Ballarat received two millimetres of rainfall overnight, with the mercury hovering around six degrees for most of the morning.
But the coldest point of the night was a midnight when the apparent temperature was minus four degrees.
The city can expect a cloudy and rainy Saturday. A 90 per cent chance of rain is forecast for Ballarat.
Sunday will see a top of 10 degrees, followed by a low of one overnight.
Showers will ease on Monday with a low of three and top of seven forecast. Make sure you rug up, hail is expected.
POLICE
Saturday August 1 marks the beginning of National Missing Persons Week.
There were 9245 people reported missing in Victoria in 2014, with more than half accounted for within 24 hours.
More than 75 per cent were accounted for within the first three days.
By the end of 2014, about 97 per cent of missing persons cases had been closed.
Dispelling myths surrounding missing people is one of the main aims around NMPW this year.
The five main myths to be dispelled are:
• You don’t have to wait 24 hours to report someone as missing,
• It is not a crime to go missing,
• People don’t “choose” to go missing,
• A missing persons address is not released to the person who reported them as missing, and;
• Adults can be reported as missing.
NMPW, which runs between August 1 and 8, is recognised annually to raise community awareness about missing persons and the impact that losing a loved one can have on both their families and the wider community.
