Things came unstuck for the Bombers right from the first ball-up as David Benson scored the Demons’ opening major after two minutes of play.
And the scores just rolled on for the home side, with a seven-goal haul in the first term helping establish a 49-point lead at half time against a Bombers team that was unable to kick a major.
Bungaree was flat in the third quarter and only scored two behinds, with the loss of Ricky Cummins and Chris O'Keefe through injury slowing the team’s pace, but not enough to bring the Bombers back into the match.
Demon players to shine bright included Matthew Sheridan, Jason Linke, Shaun Finlayson, Leigh Billington and Chase Morgan. Nicholas Weightman and Mitch Bruns stood out among the nine goal-kickers.
It wasn't a great day on the park for Bombers, but credit must be paid to Nick Shell, Ned Gilbert, Alex Bomitali, Chris Wills and Justin Orwin.
"After last week we really wanted to start well and, credit to the boys, we actually implemented our game plan and structures in that first half,” Demons coach Heath Pyke said.
"It set up the game and probably made it easier for ourselves in the last half of the game.
"It was great that the boys stuck to their tasks and put their hands up this week.”
