The city’s only feline cafe, complete with cat-achinos and cat-cakes, has moved to Rubicon Street in Sebastopol.
The trendy cafe is very different to their Lydiard Street North shop; which they had to vacate after the property was put up for sale.
Co-owner Tania Mathews said the relocation gave the cafe an opportunity to mature as a business.
“It’s a full blown cafe, with a cat-themed experience,” she said.
“We now have a trendy little cat lounge, which has all the babies in it.”
The food has also evolved with the Mathews serving up a new menu.
Everything from soups, baked potatoes, pavlova and cakes are on offer.
Ms Mathews said the cafe had attracted cat-lovers from across the globe after opening its doors on Lydiard Street North last October.
There are a number of permanent fur residents who come out to play with cafe patrons. Some of the “fur babies” can also be adopted.
The cats are on display between 10am and noon and 2pm and 4pm between Wednesday and Sunday. The cafe is located at 95-97 Rubicon Street in Sebastopol and open between Tuesday and Sunday.
