More than 30 students slept outside at ACU’s Ballarat campus to raise money for welfare programs St Vincent de Paul Society and the Ballarat Soup Bus.
The sleep out was organised by the Aquinas Young Vinnies group, comprised of ACU students who receive mentoring and project support from the St Vincent de Paul Society.
“It’s (proceeds raised) through the sale of the $10 registration as well as donations made by students and staff,” event co-organiser Chloe Van Der Ploeg said.
Students were treated to live music, with the Aquinas Student Association providing a barbecue and breakfast.
