The Tigers had five members named in the 2015 side, including vice captain Tim Malone in a back pocket, talls Matt Tyler and Michael Searl off half back, spearhead Paul McMahon at centre half forward and up-and-coming onballer Joel Maher on the interchange.
Springbank was represented more than any other club in the competition, with Bungaree the next best with four players.
Beaufort’s Dale Power was named coach of the year for his efforts in getting the Crows back into finals this season. The honour comes in Power’s second campaign in charge of Beaufort, which was sent packing from the premiership race with defeat by Hepburn on Sunday.
Buninyong joint-coach Jarrod Morgan was named captain of the side after holding the same role for the Central Highlands’ interleague clash with Horsham District early in the season.
Geoff Taylor Medal winner Shaun Campbell, from Ballan, was picked in the centre after his sensational debut season in the competition saw him poll a whopping 34 votes to take home Monday night’s award.
The team of 22 was selected by league board member Jarrod New and coaches Stephen Frys (Smythesdale), Heath Pyke (Bungaree) and Terry Simpson (Springbank).
