The not-for-profit organisation, formerly Autism Victoria, donated books and other resources to provide support and information to people on the autism spectrum and their families.
Amaze chief executive officer Fiona Sharkie said the organisation had provided support to many Victorians over the years, but families in regional Victoria had less access to these books.
She said Ballarat would receive between 50 and 60 resources.
“Amaze’s move to de-centralise our library of more than 1200 books, will see these resources situated where they’re needed most, providing regional families with better access to information,” Ms Sharkie said.
Amaze librarian Maria Moren said her role was to find the best book for a family’s needs whether it was when first receiving a diagnosis of autism or starting school.
Ballarat Library collections manager Ross Cummings welcomed the donation.
