And it’s Buninyong’s turn to carry that threat into a clash against Ballan this Saturday.
The Bombers, downed by Springbank last weekend, have lost an element of momentum and must negate a high-on-confidence Blues outfit, which beat Waubra in its first finals appearance since 2003.
However, a comfortable 39-point win over Ballan just three weeks ago is relevant and will give the side the belief it can bounce back.
“We are still confident. No one is too negative about the result on the weekend. We lost by 10 goals, but a lot of those were junk times goals when the game was already won,” Bombers joint-coach Jarrod Morgan said.
Morgan said the main injury concern was on defender Nick Shell, who left the field in the second half os last Saturday’s game with what he described as a hamstring issue.
PREDICTION: Buninyong by 20 points.
